Here are a couple of places where you can find supplies.

Quinta Avenida

The famous Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue) of Playa del Carmen hosts lots of stores of different styles.

Here, you can find typical Mexican pieces such as table runners, vases, embroidered cushions, wall art, ceramics, wood products, and crafts from all over the country.

Be aware that prices are higher than in traditional markets since they’re reseller stores. On the other hand, the location is pretty convenient if you’re not likely to go to other towns where the items are produced.

Most stores offer good deals from time to time, so don’t hesitate and ask.

However, if it’s a different vibe you’re looking for, you don’t have to go far.

For example, Wayan, one of the most famous, includes in its catalog elements inspired by African and Asian cultures.

The Highway

Similarly, you can find more contemporary or eccentric retro items in Galerias El Triunfo, a well-known place on the Federal Highway that offers products from all around the world. Although prices are a little bit higher, the visit is worth it, just to get some ideas.

Liverpool is one of the best choices in town for sheets, blankets, and cushions. They also hold a great selection of kitchen items and products for the kids’ room.

To sum up, decorating your home has to be a pleasant experience. This article is short in comparison to the wide variety of galleries and stores available in town, so if you find any good one, please leave a comment!
