Canada’s top leisure airline, WestJet, has introduced new direct flights to Tulum, offering Canadian travelers even more access to Mexico’s stunning Riviera Maya this winter. Starting November 9, 2024, these seasonal flights from Calgary and Toronto will operate through April 26, 2025, catering to the growing demand for seamless travel to Mexico’s sun-drenched beaches and vibrant culture.
Convenient Routes to Tulum
The inaugural flights—WS 2320 from Calgary and WS 2034 from Toronto—promise Canadian travelers smooth, direct connections to Tulum. With these new routes, WestJet further solidifies its position as a leader in Canadian leisure travel, offering unmatched convenience and accessibility.
Tulum Flight Schedule:
- Calgary (YYC) to Tulum (TQO):
- WS 2320 departs Saturdays at 8:55 AM, arrives at 4:40 PM.
- WS 2321 departs Tulum at 2:35 PM, arrives in Calgary at 6:46 PM.
- Toronto (YYZ) to Tulum (TQO):
- WS 2034 departs Thursdays and Saturdays at 9:00 AM, arrives at 1:40 PM.
- WS 2035 departs Thursdays at 2:35 PM, Saturdays at 5:35 PM, arriving in Toronto at 6:48 PM and 9:48 PM respectively.
Rising Demand for Canada-Mexico Travel
According to Mexico’s Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC), travel between Mexico and Canada grew by 9.2% in 2024, with 23,151 flights carrying over 3.7 million passengers. WestJet holds a 23.9% market share, solidifying its position as the second-largest carrier for Canada-Mexico routes.
